About Mike Bars: The Northwest Portland rapper/producer/director has become a staple in the underground hip hop world after independently building a cult fanbase following the release of his 2013 viral music video, There Will Be Blood . Since then, Bars has racked up more than 5.2 million views on his YouTube Channel. His brooding 2018 EP Desperate Measures features videos for two of it’s singles- “Up to No Good” and “Oh! (Buried Alive)” which both showcase Bars’ knack for twisted imagery, and dark melodies. Although Mike’s more recent work has made a shift away from the dark side, he promises on his single Oh!, “If you still want blood, someday I might give you a taste.” What better time than Halloween?
Bars has shared the stage with T-Pain, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Three 6 Mafia, Hopsin, Dizzy Wright, Twista, and Merkules. He’s also been featured on songs/shared the screen with the likes of Jarren Benton, SwizZz, G-Mo Skee, The Jokerr, and Bizarre from Eminem’s group, D12.
*Contest entry is free with ticket purchase. Performers will the select finalists; first place winner will be determined by audience vote. Prizes include gift certificates for local goods and services, including tickets to the House of Shadows.
